The Winter Class Semester is almost here. Here is the run down of our winter curriculum.
Winter Class Schedule – Winter Semester begins February 2nd, 2016 and ends May 28th, 2016
5:30 PM – 6:00 PM :: Qi Gong :: This is a free Qi Gong class open to the general public
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM :: Open Practice session :: This session is open to all students of Regina Tai Chi Centre at no additional charge. There is no formal instruction but coaches are on hand to help out if needed. This is a good opportunity to practice form or technique in the gym space.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM :: Tai Chi Fundamentals :: Wednesday’s fundamentals classes will focus on tai chi basics and bare hand form. For beginner students we will be studying Yang style 24 step form and for intermediate students we will be studying the Combined Tai Chi form.
7:00 PM to 8:00 PM :: Advanced Tai Chi :: Wednesday’s advanced technique class will focus primarily on Seven Star Sword for the winter semester and some review of Liang Yi. We will also be revisiting Traditional Fu Style sword.
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM :: Advanced Tai Chi :: Saturday’s advanced class will be focused on bare hand form. Specifically, we will be studying Bagua and the Yin Palm Bagua form. To attend this class you must have completed the beginner and intermediate curriculum or have permission from Coach Chris to participate. This class is study group style.
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM :: Strength and Flexibility :: This class is open to all Regina Tai Chi Centre students at no additional charge and is also offered as a stand alone class open to the general public at the drop in fee rate. This class will focus on core strength and improving flexibility which are key to independent movement and very beneficial for improving our Tai Chi skill.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM :: Qi Gong :: This is a free Qi Gong class open to the general public
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM :: Tai Chi Fundamentals :: Saturday’s Tai Chi Fundamentals class will focus on beginner straight sword (jian) techniques and the 16 step straight sword form.
Class Fees are as follows and are due on the last class day of the calendar month:
Drop in: $10 per class
Tai Chi Fundamentals: $60 per month
Advanced Tai Chi: $80 per month
